Welcome! We specialize in helping people who are completely new to motorcycle riding. It’s what we love most!
No experience necessary. You do not need to have any motorcycle experience, or to have ever touched a motorcycle to take a lesson with us. You don’t need a learner’s permit or motorcycle license. You DO need to know how to ride a bicycle, and you must be at least 15.5 years old and have a legal guardian come with you to your first lesson if you are under 18 years old.
Individual attention. Learning to ride a motorcycle should be fun! We provide personalized, individual (unless you’d like to bring a friend) training in a relaxed, low pressure environment. Whether you are 16 or 65, it’s never too late to learn something new and cross off that bucket list item!
Low pressure, supportive environment. We encourage everyone to take the CMSP MTC. However, we are perfect for you if you are not yet sure you’d like to commit to motorcycle riding, or you started the MTC but need additional coaching or practice before going back to successfully complete the course. We are also perfect for you if you passed the MTC but want to work on your skills or just get additional seat time with a certified instructor.
Flexible schedule and a variety of experienced instructors. We are open from sunup to sundown, and have both male and female certified instructors available to teach you.
We get you riding in the first lesson. For new riders we cover the location, use, and operation of controls; clutch work; stopping and starting; and shifting. It is very likely you will be riding (feet up) within an hour!
...as long as you are wearing appropriate gear! You must wear jeans (no holes), shoes that cover your ankles (not canvas), and long sleeves. A motorcycle jacket is not necessary for your first lesson. We also recommend sunglasses and plenty of hydration to keep you happy & focused!
Use our bikes. We have street-legal Honda CBR 250s or 500s, Grom 125s or Kawasaki Z125s for you to use. No matter your size or height we will choose a bike that fits you. You may also borrow our full-face helmets and gloves or bring your own.
